Data accumulation in advanced research infrastructure for materials Theoretical- and experimental-data-driven materials research is widely performed to develop new high-performance batteries, solar cells, motors, thermoelectric devices, etc. Advanced Research Infrastructure for Materials (ARIM) is a project to accelerate materials science research by sharing experimental equipment (such as electron microscopes, X-ray diffractometers, and nanoscale fabricators) together with technical support. We also accumulate high-quality experimental data through this project and will utilize that data in the materials- or process- informatics investigation. To this purpose, we developed an IOT device that connects a storage server and PCs operating experimental equipment. Typically, we cannot link these PCs directly to the internet because of the legacy driver software. Therefore, we realize a one-way files-only transfer system in this IOT device.
