Research activities of Hokkaido University group for next-generation linear solvers -mixed precision computing, accelerators, subspace correction techniques- In this talk, research activities of the Hokkaido University group are introduced. Our group carried out following research works: 1) We investigated effectiveness of mixed precision computing in the context of GMRES and BiCGSTAB methods. 2) We developed an integer arithmetic based preconditioned GMRES solver. 3) We introduced mixed precision computing to H-matrices. 4) We developed a new parallel ordering method: hierarchical block multi-color ordering for parallelization of IC and ILU preconditioning. 5) We proposed a new subspace correction and deflation methods to efficiently solve a sequence of linear systems.
