35th ASE Seminar

The Advanced Supercomputing Environment (ASE) Seminar organized by the Information Technology Center, the University of Tokyo, is held irregularly, led by guest lecturers from Japan and overseas. Since 2016, the Information Technology Center, the University of Tokyo, and the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems of the University of Tsukuba have been participating in the ESSEX-II Project (Equipping Sparse Solvers for Exascale), implemented as a part of the SPPEXA Program (German Priority Programme 1648, Software for Exascale Computing) of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
For the 35th ASE Seminar, we have invited guest lecturer Scott B. Baden from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the United States. He will discuss the methods of reducing communications costs and means of communications concealment from the perspective of reconfiguring programming languages and MPI applications.
Prior registration is not necessary, and admission to the seminar is free. Please participate actively. The seminar will be conducted in English.
