Transfer of Tokens
Applications for the transfer of tokens between different supercomputer systems are accepted.
Transfer of tokens is not accepted for users under Corporate use, Recommendation Program for Young Researchers and Woman Researchers, Regular use (Trial), and the HPCI/JHPCN programs.
This section provides information on the application method and points to note in submitting an application.
Application Procedures
Tokens, which represent the hours for which compute nodes can be used, are allocated corresponding to the contents of application for Miyabi and Wisteria/BDEC-01 systems. These tokens can be transferred between the supercomputer systems (without incurring additional costs of use). Please apply from the Application for Transfer of Tokens. It is also possible to apply for new use of each system independently.
Points to note- It is NOT possible to transfer tokens to a different project code.
- Please specify the amount of tokens that you wish to transfer from the system that you are currently using.
- If the amount of tokens requested for transfer exceeds the amount of tokens remaining at the time of application acceptance, the entire amount of tokens remaining will be transferred.
- Even if there is an another existing project code in the destination system for token transfer, a new project code will be assigned and the migrated token will be assigned. The usage period on the destination system will be the same as the usage period on the source system.
Example:
-
Wisteria/BDEC-01: Group A (Usage period until February 2025)
Miyabi: Group B (Period of use until March 2025)
Transfer 10,000 tokens of Group A to Miyabi
→ Create Group A (usage period until February 2025) on Miyabi
and assign 3,000 tokens. - Accounts for all users in the group under the current system that you are using will be created in the system that you wish to transfer the tokens to. You will NOT be able to select accounts to be created.
- The number of sets cannot be added to the group ont the system to which the tokens were transferred.
- The disk storage for the system that you will be transferring the tokens to is as follows.
Miyabi Wisteria/BDEC-01 Group course(/work): 5TB
Per person for(/home): 50GBGroup course(/work): 12TB
Group course(/data)*1: /work 4% of capacity
Per person for(/home): 50GB- *1 /data is a fast file system.Temporary and permanent areas are available, and application is required to use the permanent area.
The temporary area is where files that have not been updated for a week are deleted.
- *1 /data is a fast file system.Temporary and permanent areas are available, and application is required to use the permanent area.
- The table of coefficients for the token transfer is as follows.
System currently in use System that the tokens will be transferred to Wisteria/BDEC-01 Miyabi Wisteria/BDEC-01 - 0.3 Miyabi 3.3 - - Tokens added to the target system = Amount of transferred tokens × coefficient
